In our last tapeout, because of various reasons, we needed to manually insert power switches and level shifters in a multi-vdd design. though the floorplanning got a bit complex(we inserted these entities at the FP stage rather than the usual p&r stage), we found overall, the schedule wasn't affected that much at all. I was wondering what experiences you might have; have you tried manual vs auto insertion? how was your experience with methodology issues/productivity/schedule? |
